Welcome to JavaAbilities, a coffee house where great coffee meets greater purpose.
JavaAbilities was founded by Mary Kay Clark and Tim McDonald, two longtime advocates for inclusion, community, and creating opportunities that matter. With decades of experience supporting adults with disabilities, Mary Kay and Tim dreamed of a place where people of all abilities could work, thrive, and be celebrated. That dream is realized through JavaAbilities—a warm, welcoming coffee house serving up locally roasted coffee, handcrafted food, and authentic connection.
At JavaAbilities, inclusion isn’t an afterthought—it’s at the heart of everything we do. Our team is made up of individuals with and without disabilities, working side-by-side to create something beautiful. We believe in meaningful employment, empowering every team member to contribute their unique strengths, and giving our community a place to gather and grow together.
From our house-made pastries and fresh focaccia sandwiches to our rotating soups and gluten-free options, we care deeply about quality. But even more than that, we care about people. Whether you’re grabbing your morning coffee, staying for lunch, or attending one of our community events, we want you to feel at home here.
Thanks for stopping by—and thank you for supporting a business that’s brewing something bigger.
